Beauties of the Four Seasons - Scotty So

“Beauties of the Four Seasons” is a series of 4 artworks by contemporary artist Scotty So, of which I was commissioned to contribute digital animation. The artworks were exhibited at So’s solo show “Maybe She Was There” at Mars Gallery in December 2024.

Each artwork consists of an ink on silk painting that is framed on top of a LED TV displaying digital animation (by myself) which shines through the silk, creating the illusion of an animated painting.

For this commission I worked closely with Scotty So to create animation in his desired style that created his desired effect.
