Click And Drag

“Click and Drag” is a series of video vignettes combining elements of drag makeup and 3D digital animation. Layers of constructed identity come together to create a series of characters that exist in a space between the physical and the digital. This tension between physical and digital mirrors the tension between how we choose to present ourselves and how we are perceived. The characters in the work embody the disconnect between these two perceptions of identity. Hyper-emotional, with frowns and tears streaming down their faces, they take on the weight of this disconnect, working as spiritual avatars and freeing us from the emotional burden of being.
