The Appearance Of Colour

The Appearance of Colour is a contemporary ballet performance choreographed by Loughlan Prior.

Loughlan reached out to me to collaborate with him to create animated floor projections that would work in synchronisation with the choreography.

The work was commissioned by the Queensland Ballet as part of ‘Bespoke’, their contemporary dance program.

The work debuted at the Brisbane Powerhouse in October of 2019.

Inspiration for the piece came from the history of television technology and the first colour broadcast of television.

The work is one of my proudest to date.
